Privacy Policy

Bate Labs, LLC ("Bate Labs," "we," "us," or "our") operates Forge Built (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Forge Built, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: email address, username, display name, and password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your raw password).
• Training profile: experience level, training days per week, primary goals, preferred split, focus lifts, gym type and available equipment, sex, height, body weight, and any injuries or limitations you choose to tell us about.
• Workout and training data: the exercises, sets, reps, weight, and notes you log; personal records and estimated one-rep maxes; exercise progression history; streaks and badges; rest days.
• Buddy workout data: if you train with someone else in the app, your username and live workout progress are visible to the other participant(s) in that session for its duration.
• Social features: followers/following relationships, activity feed posts (e.g. completed workouts, new PRs), and any comments or reactions you post or receive.
• Garmin data (optional): if you choose to connect a Garmin account, we receive wellness and recovery data from Garmin Connect via an authorized OAuth connection, which we use to power recovery-aware coaching. You can disconnect Garmin at any time in Settings, which stops future data syncing.
• Subscription and payment information: if you subscribe to Forge Built Premium, our payment processors (Apple, Google, Stripe, and RevenueCat) handle your payment details directly. We receive and store only your subscription status and identifiers necessary to grant you access — we never receive or store your full card number.
• Push notification tokens: a device identifier used to deliver workout reminders and other notifications you've opted into.
• Usage and device data: we log basic analytics such as page/screen views, referrer, session duration, and device/browser type. Your IP address is cryptographically hashed before storage and is never retained in raw form.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

• Provide, operate, and personalize the App — including generating your training program, adjusting recommended weights, and powering coaching and recovery features.
• Process subscriptions and manage billing.
• Send workout reminders and other notifications you've enabled.
• Enable social and buddy-workout features you choose to use.
• Maintain the security and integrity of the App, including preventing abuse.
• Understand aggregate usage patterns so we can improve the App.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only as necessary to operate the App:

• Service providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (authentication), Neon (database hosting), Stripe and RevenueCat (subscription billing and entitlement management), Resend (transactional email), Sentry (error monitoring), and Apple/Google push notification services (message delivery). Each is contractually required to protect your data to a standard consistent with this policy and only use it to provide services to us.
• Garmin, only if you explicitly connect your account, to retrieve the wellness data described above.
• Other users, in the specific, limited ways you choose to make information visible — e.g. your username and activity to people who follow you, or your live progress to someone you're training with in a buddy session.
• Legal or safety reasons, if required by law or necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Bate Labs, our users, or the public.

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the App and comply with legal obligations. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete Account). Deletion removes your workouts, training history, progression data, badges, and profile information from our active systems. Some information may be retained for a limited period where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

5. Your Rights and Choices

• You can access, correct, or export most of your data directly within the App.
• You can delete your account and data at any time (Settings → Delete Account).
• You can disconnect Garmin at any time in Settings.
• You can opt out of push notifications in your device settings or in-app notification preferences.
• You may request details about the data we hold about you, or request its deletion, by contacting us at the email below.

6. Children's Privacy

Forge Built is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections, hashed credentials via our authentication provider, and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate, we'll notify you in the App.
